// THE CHALLENGE
To promote the limited-edition SAPPHIRE PURE AMD Radeon™ RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition GPU, SAROTA PR needed to produce a high-impact cinematic trailer that faithfully fused Frostpunk 2 gameplay visuals with original 3D animation. The video had to reflect Frostpunk 2’s icy, post-apocalyptic setting – “a harsh and unforgiving world cloaked in snow and perpetually frozen landscapes” – while spotlighting the card’s unique design and features.
Achieving this required seamless integration of in-game footage with CGI effects and product shots, all without breaking immersion.
SAROTA PR, a digital marketing agency specializing in technology was tasked with coordinating between SAPPHIRE/AMD, game developer 11 bit Studios, and our creative production team. The agency had to align the trailer’s creative vision with the game’s narrative themes and the hardware’s branding, manage complex feedback loops, and meet tight deadlines. In summary, the challenge was to deliver a trailer that visually merged “oil and ice” – the fiery elements and the game’s wintry aesthetic – while clearly showcasing the GPU, all under a cohesive and engaging story framework
// THE APPROACH
SAROTA PR led the project strategy, leveraging its expertise in tech content and integrated. Our team began with creative concept development, using AI-assisted tools to quickly generate and visualize ideas. For example, generative AI was used to produce concept images and storyboards in seconds – a process that traditionally would take days or weeks. This dramatically reduced feedback cycles, allowing SAROTA to iterate efficiently with stakeholders.
With the direction set, SAROTA PR coordinated filming and rendering.
Approved in-game footage from Frostpunk 2 was captured for background realism, and complementary CGI sequences were crafted around it.
A key creative element – the “money shot” – was the climactic reveal of the GPU. In this sequence, the Frostpunk-themed graphics card emerges from a glowing molten core, linking the card’s “frosty-white fan shroud and oil-black metal backplate” design to an erupting lava motif. This dramatic shot visually reconciled the product’s icy color scheme with a burst of fiery orange light, mirroring the Frostpunk 2 signature (the ARGB logo’s default orange) on the card itself.
Throughout production our team meticulously timed visual and audio elements. A custom soundtrack was composed and tightly synchronized with dynamic camera moves – sweeping passes and rapid cuts accentuated by rising musical crescendos – to heighten impact at each reveal. Meanwhile, SAROTA managed approvals and communication between AMD/SAPPHIRE, 11 bit Studios, and us to ensure brand consistency and technical accuracy (for example, confirming model details of the GPU and game assets).
Finally, the content was optimized for multiple platforms. Alongside the full-length (16:9) trailer for YouTube and press release purposes, we produced vertical-format versions and teasers tailored for social media (Instagram Reels, TikTok, etc.). This multi-format strategy leveraged the fact that short vertical videos generate significantly higher engagement on mobile platforms. Each cut-down clip was designed to grab attention within seconds, featuring the most visually striking scenes and the memorable molten-GPU reveal at its core.
// THE RESULT
The cinematic trailer successfully amplified excitement for the Frostpunk 2 Edition GPU. The polished film merged real Frostpunk 2 gameplay elements with high-end 3D animation, delivering a compelling narrative tone. Key results included:
